| E-MAIL STATEMENT / NOTICE DELIVERY |
| Using our E-mail Delivery Module, you can now send electronic
image statements and notices to your customers. The document
is first converted into an encrypted Adobe PDF file. The file can |
| then be attached to an outgoing e-mail. This use of technology shortens the delivery |
| timeframe and decreases your statement preparation and postage cost. |
| POSITIVE PAY |
| With the Positive Pay Module, corporate customers can detect fraudulent items by identifying stolen checks, checks with altered amounts, duplicate serial numbers and voided checks. Customers view the items via their online banking account and make decisions if the checks should be paid. The checks that arrive at the bank for presentment are electronically compared to what the customer has uploaded for payment. |
| BRANCH CAPTURE |
Using small, low cost image capture devices, a bank can
distribute the capture process among all the branch locations as
well as the main bank. Many times, this eliminates the need for |
| high-speed, high-cost transports at the main site thereby reducing the maintenance cost. |
A distributed capture environment also increases fault tolerance since the processing
load is distributed over multiple transports. |
| E-DEPOSIT / MERCHANT CAPTURE |
Provides and innovative electronic deposit processing solution
for banks, third-party payment processors, government, utilities
and merchants of all types. E-deposit combines the image |
| processing capabilities of Check 21 with the financial institutions image based item |
| processing system. With a low-speed image capture device and secure internet access, |
your commercial customers can image capture check deposits at their business and
electronically deliver the images and MICR data to your institution for processing. As a
result, funds can be available sooner and your institution’s fraud exposure is mitigated. |

| IMAGE ACCESS |
| The Image Access Module provides images originally captured with CSPI Check Image Solution to other research products and host processors. Image Access can be interfaced to internet banking products, such as Funds Express, ITI, ORCC, Digital Insight, Certegy, PCS, JHA or S1/Q-UP as well as host research applications offered by companies such as Precision Computer Systems, Cardinal, CSI, Fiserv, JHA, and ITI. |
| SIGNATURE CARD |
Allows signature cards to be scanned and stored in a database
for research. Images scanned in through Signature Card Module
can be viewed through the All Items research tool in CSPI’s
Check Image Solution.
| HOST INTERFACE |
| The Host Interface Module facilitates communication between CSPI’s Check Image Solution and the host system. To pass proof information, it generates an output file in a format specifically designed for the host system which is then used to update account activity. This interface also enables the Check Image Solution system to pull Statement and NSF Notice files, as well as non-posted and re-posted items reports, which are used to update item status. CSPI’s Check Image Solution accepts and produces a variety of file formats in order to interface with almost any host system. |

| CAR/LAR |
| Courtesy Amount Recognition (CAR) and Legal Amount Recognition (LAR) will dramatically improve processing rates and will decrease manual labor cost. Both applications are Windows-based and will reach recognition rates over 92%. Image files are scanned electronically, and if the missing characters are recognizable, the system automatically fills them in. The remaining ‘unread’ items are sent to the operators to repair at their workstations. The outgoing items can then be sent electronically to FED or any exchange using a standard format. |
| OPTICAL MARK RECOGNITION |
| OMR marks appear along the left edge of a document and are used by folder/inserter machines to know page counts and insert information. Using the Optical Mark Recognition Module, these marks are printed on image statements so they can be folded and sealed in an envelope by a Pitney Bowes, Neopost, Formax, Hassler or other folding/inserting machine. Marks can also be printed to take advantage of optional trays for generic inserts, if the machine is so equipped. |
| BROWSER RESEARCH |
| The thinnest of thin clients, Browser Research Module provides full research capabilities to anyone on the bank’s network without having to install additional software on individual workstations. Using an in-house web server to host an intranet site, the only end-user requirement is to have a recent version of Microsoft’s Internet Explorer software. Browser Research uses the same user security as the rest of the system allowing centralized administration while reaching even the most remote branch locations. Though it recommended to be run on connections at 256Kbps or faster, Browser Research is still effective across connection speeds as low as 56Kbps. |

| ENHANCED DOCUMENT MANAGEMENT |
With Enhanced Document Management module, you can scan,
index, store, maintain, retrieve and track any item. The powerful
database will archive and track large volumes of loans |
| and other documents within a distributive environment. Tracking features are useful for |
| insurance requirements, UCC expiration dates and any other type of scheduled event. |
| The module will also print barcode labels for any document as required. Enhanced |
| Document Management may be deployed on any workstation at a central siteor at |
| branch locations. |

| IMAGE QUALITY / USABILITY |
| Image Quality/Usability solves these challenges by analyzing personal and business check for scanning distortions and field entry mistakes and providing an automatic analysis of field readability. |
Intelligent Analysis: Enables the analysis of image quality and usability so system integrators can set business rules and threshold requirements for specific customer environments and applications. |
Accuracy: Provides false alarm rates as low as 0.1% |
Flexibility: Offers an integrated solution tailored to specific system requirements through discrete automated image quality and check usability assurance modules. |
| Reduces your risk to forged check signatures. System detects signature presence and verifies if they are genuine. Reveals all types of signature fraud, including random and skilled forgery. Easy to integrate with applications that require signature verifications, going beyond conventional visual authentication. |
Multiple Verifiers to Enhance Security: Applies a powerful combination of seven verifiers which include human – like, contextual signature interpretation, several neural network-based learning and interpretation agents, fuzzy logic and other advanced techniques. |
| |
Multiple Reference Signatures: Compares signatures against multiple reference signatures, detecting natural deviations in the individual style of signing. |
Multiple Document Type Flexibility: Deals with a variety of signature types such as signature snippets cut from any type of document as well as signatures automatically located on personal or business checks. |

| MULTIPLE ENDPOINT CASH LETTERS |
Multiple Endpoint Cash Letters allows you to send cash letters to multiple image cash letter vendors on a daily basis. To see if this feature would be financially beneficial to your institution, you would start by running an endpoint analysis on the transit items currently being processed and compare the results with the image cash letter vendor fee schedule.
