Computer Service Professionals, Inc. (CSPI) has created this privacy and data protection policy in order to communicate its commitment to doing business with the highest ethical business standards.

As part of doing business, CSPI requires current and potential customers to give us contact information such as name, address, e-mail address, and telephone number. This data is used to provide information to those who inquire about or use our products and services. This information is also used to contact our customers and potential clients when necessary. With your approval, CSPI may provide your bank information to qualified CSPI vendors to provide a total solution for your processing needs. We will provide a customer list to prospective CSPI clients for reference purposes only. The list contains the following information: Bank Name, City, State, Contact Name, Phone Number, Title, Prior System, Host System, and Asset Size.

We have established standards and procedures to protect your customer data from unauthorized use whether inside or outside our office, and whether the data was obtained via modem, fax, or electronic media. All of our operational and data processing systems are in a secure environment that protects your customer data from being accessed by third parties. CSPI limits employee access to your customer data, to those who have a business need to know. We educate our employees so that they understand the importance of confidentiality and customer privacy.

Our web site is protected with a variety of security measures such as change control procedures, passwords, and physical access controls. We also employ a variety of other mechanisms to ensure that data you provide is not lost, misused or altered inappropriately.

 What is spam?

In the context of electronic messaging, spam refers to unsolicited, bulk or indiscriminate messages, typically sent for a commercial purpose.

Computer Service Professionals INC (CSPI) has a zero-tolerance spam policy.

Automated spam filtering

Computer Service Professionals INC (CSPI)’s messaging systems automatically scan all incoming email [and other] messages, and filter-out messages that appear to be spam.

 

Problems with spam filtering

No message filtering system is 100% accurate, and from time to time legitimate messages will be filtered-out by Computer Service Professionals INC (CSPI) systems.

If you believe this has happened to a message you have sent, please advise the message recipient by another means.

You can reduce the risk of a message being caught by the spam filters by sending the message in plain text (i.e. no HTML), removing any attachments, and ensuring that your messages are scanned for malware before dispatch.

User spam

Computer Service Professionals INC (CSPI) provides a facility that enables users to send [email messages / private messages] to others.  Users must not use this facility to send unsolicited, bulk or indiscriminate messages, whether or not for a commercial purposes.  Full terms and conditions concerning the use of the facility are set out in our Employee Handbook.
